How do I change the prayer calculation method?
Go to Settings → Prayer → Calculation Method. Choose from ISNA (North America), Muslim World League, Egyptian, Umm Al-Qura, and more.
Why are my prayer times different from my local mosque?
Prayer times can vary based on calculation method, location accuracy, and local adjustments. Your mosque may use different calculation parameters. You can adjust times manually in Settings if needed.
How do I enable prayer notifications?
Go to Settings → Notifications. You can customize which prayers you want to be notified about and how many minutes before the prayer time.
Does Nūr work on Apple Watch?
Yes, Nūr includes a full Apple Watch companion app with prayer times, Qibla compass, and Tasbih counter. Requires watchOS 9 or later.
How does the Qibla compass work?
Nūr uses your device sensors to point toward the Kaaba in Makkah. Progressive haptic feedback guides you as you align with the Qibla direction. It works anywhere in the world, even offline.
How do I use the Tasbih counter?
Open the Tasbih tab and tap the bead to count. You'll feel haptic feedback at milestones (33, 66, 99). Choose from preset dhikr or create custom ones. Your counts sync via iCloud.
How do I sync across devices?
Enable iCloud Sync in Settings. Your prayer tracking, Tasbih counts, and settings will sync across all your devices signed into the same iCloud account.
Does Nūr collect my data?
No. Nūr has zero data collection. No analytics, no tracking, no accounts, no ads. All data stays on your device (and iCloud if you enable sync).
Does Nūr work offline?
Yes. Prayer times are calculated locally using astronomical algorithms. No internet connection is needed after initial location setup.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the purchase, and request a refund.
